What is MyOpenSpot?
MyOpenSpot is a mobile app (iOS and Android) that shows on a map the shops and places open around you in real time, from enriched OpenStreetMap data. It includes a "Meet up" mode to share your live location with a friend or relative.
How much does MyOpenSpot cost?
The free tier is complete: map, search, 3 favorites, solo "Meet up" sessions from 15 to 60 minutes. Premium unlocks unlimited favorites, sessions up to 24 hours with up to 5 people, and the "Plan ahead" mode. Pricing: 9.99 euros/year (7-day free trial) or 19.99 euros lifetime. Indicative prices — actual prices are the ones shown in the app by the stores.
How does "Meet up" work?
From a friend's card or by starting a session, you share your live location for a chosen duration (15, 30 or 60 minutes on the free tier; up to 24 hours on Premium). Sharing stops automatically at the end of the session. No permanent tracking, no data kept after the session ends.
Does MyOpenSpot track my location in the background?
No. Geolocation is only used when the app is open, on demand. No background tracking, no data reselling, no advertising in the app.
Where does the place data come from?
Places and their opening hours come from OpenStreetMap (open data), enriched by the community. These are open, verifiable sources — no dependency on a proprietary provider.
Which platforms is MyOpenSpot available on?
MyOpenSpot is available on iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play). The interface, categories and place details are fully bilingual French / English.
Can I cancel or get a refund on Premium?
Yes. The yearly subscription is managed from your App Store or Google Play account settings — you can cancel at any time. The first 7 days are free. The "lifetime" purchase is a one-time, non-recurring payment; refund conditions follow the stores' policies.
